Paul, Enrichment Center MemberFor some, a visit to SourcePoint can be energizing,
inspiring, or educational. For one Delaware resident, his
visits may have been life saving.
Paul, who’s been a regular at SourcePoint for more
than six years, started using the facility’s fitness
center. He was looking for an alternative to his
previous gym, and someone recommended SourcePoint.
He got started on an exercise program, and since then
has lost 10 pounds and has lowered his high blood pressure to a much healthier 127 over 60.
“It has been great for me. I met a lot of nice people
here and I just kept coming,” said Paul. “I’ve been really happy with SourcePoint and I tell
everyone that I run into about it.”

“I came over that next day and took a tour,” Wendy said.
“I was blown away by how nice it was. I just fell in love
with it.”
Since her tour, Wendy is at SourcePoint nearly every
week to play table tennis with what she calls “a
competitive, but very nice group.” She uses the

accompany her. She’s told all of her friends “how amazing this place is.”
“SourcePoint also has classes that focus on
caring for older parents, and Alzheimer’s,

that,” said Wendy. “I’m so excited that SourcePoint is here to

Our MissionThe mission of SourcePoint is to help our community set a course to live well after 55 .
Aleda and Alexander, Community Support ClientsMarried for 62 years, Alexander and Aleda moved to Ohio when Aleda got sick and Alexander
realized he needed help. They moved to Powell to be close to their daughter. While their
daughter is their “number one” support system, Alexander said he would be lost without
SourcePoint. “They are a real help and a blessing,” he said, “a lifeline.”
Alexander and Aleda receive a variety of in-home care services from SourcePoint, including
transportation to medical appointments, homemaker services, emergency response buttons,
and respite.
Without SourcePoint, “we would not be able to stay together,” said Alexander about his wife. “Money is one thing,
but good will is everything. They are beautiful people.”

Why use our professional care consultants? Potential clients sometimes ask why they should work with one of our care consultants, rather than obtaining services on their own:
Convenience Perhaps you would benefit from more than one service—for example, housekeeping and an emergency response system. If you hire companies directly to provide those services, you’ll have to coordinate appointments, billing, and customer service issues with each company. But when you work with our care consultant, she’ll handle all the arrangements for you, and you’ll receive one simple monthly statement.
Security Our service providers have undergone a detailed review prior to being accepted into our program, and they are reviewed again each year. Every staff member coming into your home has had a thorough background screening as well.
Cost Savings Because we receive bids from a number of providers, and because we contract for services for more than a thousand clients, we can often offer a more affordable price than you could obtain on your own. Plus, SourcePoint’s services are available on a sliding fee scale—so your co-pays will depend on your own financial situation.
Trusted Expertise Your care consultant is a licensed professional who specializes in issues associated with getting older. Working one-on-one with you, our care consultants can often spot and prevent problems before they occur. Simple suggestions, such as adding grab bars in a shower or an emergency call button in your home, can help prevent falls and preserve your health.

Ned, Family CaregiverDelaware resident Ned was already familiar with SourcePoint
—he delivered Meals on Wheels for about 10 years—when his
wife, Maxine, became more in need of a caregiver.
“She had a stroke, and over the last few years I’ve
needed to become a full-time caregiver for
her,” said Ned.
His new role drew Ned to the caregiver
support group at SourcePoint.
“The monthly meetings involve other
caregivers, and we have shared experiences and have more or less been a backup to each other,” Ned said.
Ned said he considers himself
lucky; their daughter lives
close by and helps often.
And SourcePoint assigned a
care consultant, who visits
during the year to help Ned
and Maxine contract for
housecleaning and other
services they may need.
“It’s been very good to have
SourcePoint,” Ned said. “It’s just nice to know you
don’t have to be alone in
going through this.”
