1. Use fresh and dried ingredients. Key ingredients that nourish the body, and work well in Chinese cuisine, include fresh ginger, garlic, and chilies. Chilies provide vitamins, while ginger helps with digestion, and garlic promotes good heart health.

2. Pick the right noodles. To reduce carbohydrates in your diet, rice noodles are a good option. While rice noodles contain fat and calorie content comparable to traditional pastas, the carbohydrates are less than a fourth of what is found in regular pasta noodles.

3. Add tofu. Made from soy beans, tofu is a good replacement for proteins, such as chicken and beef. The product is rich in both protein and calcium. The ingredient takes on the flavor of any marinade or spice, so it works well in stir fry dishes.
