Three things
Pick a time frame: it could be a day, a week or a month.
Ask yourself: What are the 3 most important things I can focus on during that time?
When you get to the end of that time frame Review your 3 things and mark them as hit, missed or progressed.
Reflect on what happened and choose 3 more things.
That’s it.
Three things
It can be anything you want, most people choose a goal or intention.
A goal is SMART: Specific Measurable Achievable Realistic and Timed.
An intention is a direction you point your focus without defining the result.
You can think of a goal as a specific point on a map and an intention as a direction you are travelling in.
Whatever you choose you can only focus on 3 of them at a time.
What is a thing?
Examples of our daily goals
Examples of our weekly goals
In one month there will be at least 75 things you can focus on.
60 daily things
12 weekly things
3 monthly things
In a year you will have 912 and that’s with 4 weeks off.
3 is a lot
The life pilot tool comes with some preset categories. When you set your 3 things, choose the category it falls in.
Feel free to add or remove categories and make them your own. e.g. Family, Travel, Art, Sport
Make sure each category has its own colour and don’t set more than 8.
Categories
Some people like to set lots of things in one go, putting in many daily things for the week ahead.
Others like to add them as they go.
Have a play and do what works best for you.
Planning ahead
As life unfolds you can change your 3 things to line up with your intentions.
A good rule of thumb we have found - if it is still monday or tuesday we will change a weekly thing, later than that and we just mark it as missed.
Remember: the purpose of Life Pilot isn’t to hit every goal, it is to notice patterns and learn more about how you operate.

Align with reality
Setting goals (e.g. win the lottery) dependent on things you can’t control usually isn’t a good plan.
Instead it is best to choose things you can control.
Like this fella figured out a way to game the lottery and has won 14 times!
