Three Jelly Fish Felt Board Pattern
Designed and Created by Kate McKnight
Three jelly Fish is a wonderful set for learning about three—counting down from three to
zero and counting back up to three again. The Ric Rac and coloured string bring the jelly fish tentacles to life as they jump on and off
the rock. This felt set is easy to make. No sewing at all. Just cut the felt and assemble.
Each jelly fish is 8.5cm wide ( about 3.5 inches) and 18cm long ( 7 inches) . The rock is 28cm wide (11 inches).

General Instructions
Making the Felt Board Pieces
1. Print pattern pages. No need to duplicate, enlarge or reduce. 2. Bubble-cut around the edge of each pattern piece, close to the lines but not on the
cutting lines. 3. Arrange the pattern pieces on the felt squares. Use sticky tape to secure each pattern
piece onto the felt. Place the tape around the edges of each pattern piece and over any sections you will need to cut out. The sticky tape stops the patterns from slipping around and results in very precisely cut lines.
4. Trim excess felt from around each pattern piece so that it is easier to manoeuvre the felt and
get to the fiddly bits when cutting. 5. Cut along the pattern line, cutting through the tape, the paper pattern and the felt simultaneously. This will be a bit hard on your scissors but the results are worth it.
6. Follow the step-by-step assembly instructions provided.
Adding Eyes
1. Put a small drop of glue where you want the eye to be positioned. 2. Place the wiggle eye onto the glue spot. 3. Then very, very lightly press down to secure it. 4. Leave the eyes untouched until the glue has dried completely.
To make the song card
1. Print song card using the template provided onto A4 printer paper. 2. Fold song card page in half. 3. Enclose song card into a 125micron A6 laminating pouch. 4. Laminate

Jelly Fish
1. There are three different coloured jelly fish – be sure to match the fronts and back for each jelly fish before you begin to apply glue. Note the jelly fish bodies are not perfectly symmetrical. 2. Place a line of glue along the bottom edge of the front of the back layer of each jelly. Arrange 4 -6 pieces of Ric Rac and 4 pieces of craft string along the bottom edge of each jelly fish on top of the glue. 3. Then run another line of glue over the Ric Rac and string and around entire jelly fish body and then place matching jelly fish body on top. 4. Glue two eyes onto each jelly fish using image for guidance on posi-tioning. 5. If necessary trim around the top edge of each jelly fish to neaten.
Sea weed Rocks
1. Distribute the sea weed strand between the two rocks. Being sure to include different lengths and colours. 2. In a similar way to the jelly fish, place a line of glue along the bottom edge of the front of the rear sea weed rocks. Then distribute 4 -5 pieces of sea weed along the rock. Place another line of glue on top of the sea weed. Then add more sea weed. 3. Lastly place a line of glue around outside edge of rock. Place sea weed rock on top such that the sea weed is encased between the two layers of rock.
