Dear School Community, The School Concert was fantasc last Thursday evening and the weather cooled down sufficiently to provide a relavely comfortable environment for the audience. The Concert went a lile longer than planned but our Spicks & Specksact and the presentaons to long-serving volunteers and staff were very memorable parts that were difficult to put a me on’. As alluded to on the night, the work of staff and students to plan performances, develop costumes/props, learn lines and rehearse for the concert was terrific. We had many interrupons including our week-long Grade 3/4 Camp to Fiſteen Mile Creek only two weeks before-hand, not to menon our interstate trip to Adelaide to race boats at the end of November. It has been a very busy me and I believe the concert was a great success, even if some staff did fail completely as Spicks and Specks contestants (Sorry Team). Congratulaons to Geoff Jacobson, Jenny ONeill and Yvonne Sprunt who were recognised for their long service to the school. Geoff and Jenny have been at the school for thirteen years and will leave the school as their third son Tim finishes Grade 6 this year. Both Geoff and Jennys contribuon to the school is immeasurable and are too numerous to be included in a list on this newsleer. I would personally like to thank both of them for their unwavering support and commitment to the school. I would also like to thank long-serving ES staff member Yvonne Sprunt who has worked alongside Tim whilst at Congupna Primary School over the past five years. We wish you all the very best with whatever it is you put your mind to next. Thank you. The Big Day Out for Grade 6 students was exactly that yesterday - Our five students started at school with STEM unl 11am and then went into Shepparton for lunch and Ten Pin Bowling. The dinner was aended by past and current teachers, staff, students and their families. All students received some giſts, mementos and a short period of me for a speech. Good luck for next year, we all wish you the very best for your collecve futures Mason, Haydn, Danielle, Ryan and Tim. I would also like to make menon of two otherfamilies that will be leaving us this year. Dear School Community, The School Concert was fantastic last Thursday evening and the weather cooled down sufficiently to provide a relatively comfortable environment for the audience. The Concert went a little longer than planned but our ‘Spicks & Specks’ act and the presentations to long-serving volunteers and staff were very memorable parts that were difficult to ‘put a time on’. As alluded to on the night, the work of staff and students to plan performances, develop costumes/props, learn lines and rehearse for the concert was terrific. We had many interruptions including our week-long Grade 3/4 Camp to Fifteen Mile Creek only two weeks before-hand, not to mention our interstate trip to Adelaide to race boats at the end of November. It has been a very busy time and I believe the concert was a great success, even if some staff did fail completely as Spicks and Specks contestants (Sorry Team).

Congratulations to Geoff Jacobson, Jenny O’Neill and Yvonne Sprunt who were recognised for their long service to the school. Geoff and Jenny have been at the school for thirteen years and will leave the school as their third son Tim finishes Grade 6 this year. Both Geoff and Jenny’s contribution to the school is immeasurable and are too numerous to be included in a list on this newsletter. I would personally like to thank both of them for their unwavering support and commitment to the school. I would also like to thank long-serving ES staff member Yvonne Sprunt who has worked alongside Tim whilst at Congupna Primary School over the past five years. Yvonne has done a tremendous job supporting Tim and the classrooms in which he has attended and has built strong working relationships with all students and staff at the school. We wish you all the very best with whatever it is you put your mind to next. Thank you.

The Big Day Out for Grade 6 students was exactly that yesterday - Our five students started at school with STEM until 11am and then went into Shepparton for lunch and Ten Pin Bowling. They returned to the Jacobson’s Pool in Congupna after lunch, travelled home briefly and then attended a Graduation Dinner at Bicaro’s Restaurant! The dinner was attended by past and current teachers, staff,

students and their families. All students received some gifts, mementos and a short period of time for a speech. The whole day was a great celebration of their time at Congupna Primary School and what they have achieved. Good luck for next year, we all wish you the very best for your collective futures Mason, Haydn, Danielle, Ryan and Tim.

I would also like to make mention of two ‘other’ families that will be leaving us this year. We have two current Grade 4 students that will be attending Goulburn Valley Grammar in 2018 from two families that have been here for quite a while. Both the Reynolds and Aldridge families have had multiple students attend Congupna Primary School and their youngest children leave us this year. On behalf of our school community, I thank you for your time and contribution to the school as families and we wish both Justin and Ethan all the best at their new school.

We now look forward to our whole-school Fun Fields excursion tomorrow to celebrate the end of another successful year. Please make sure you are here in school uniform by 7:45am, have a hat and water bottle at the ready and are prepared to have some fun. Those students not attending with a parent or carer will need to stay with staff or other responsible adults on the day.

Student Reports will be distributed on the last school day

for students, Thursday. We will also present our Kiwanis

Terrific Kid of the Year at an earlier assembly beginning

around 1:40pm. Christmas Icy Poles will be distributed to

children before this rather than having a school barbecue

as we have done at times in the past. Merry Christmas to

you all from our final newsletter for 2017!
