A MESSAGE FROM FATHER KLASINSKI
We Are ON FIRE Because Of YOU!
This week you will receive a brochure detailing the We Are On Fire Program our parish will be participating in
over the next few weeks. This informative brochure is intended to communicate how we, as a parish, want to
advance our mission and how we are serving God’s people in our community. Commitment Sunday for this
program is Sunday, September 15. We encourage all parishioners to spend time in prayer and discussion with
your family reflecting on how you are able to help us. We look forward to seeing all of our parishioners at Mass
next weekend for this very important Commitment Sunday. If you have any questions regarding the We Are On
Fire Program, please feel free to contact me.

Faith Formation for Adults with Special Needs
The Church of Saint Clare is proud to offer faith formation for adults with disabilities and welcomes new
participants. Do you know an adult who would like an opportunity to develop their religious faith? Please
encourage them to sign up so that they can begin to participate more fully in our church community. We look
forward to celebrating the richness of the gifts that persons with disabilities have to offer.
Saint Clare Adult Special Education runs Thursday evenings from 7:00-8:00 p.m. starting September 19.
“The family is the fundamental cell of society,
where we learn to live with others despite our differences and to belong to one another;
it is also the place where parents pass on the faith to their children.” Evangellii Gaudium (Joy of the Gospel) #66. Pope Francis.
Mary, the mother of Jesus, is one of the most familiar figures in our Catholic
faith. But how well do we know her, and how clearly do we see the
connections between her life and our own? Whether you have a deep devotion
to Mary or wonder why people would even want to pray with her, we invite
you to deepen your appreciation of our Blessed Mother and her role in our lives and the life of the Church.
The Spiritual Formation Committee of Saint Clare and Saint Paschal Baylon will be offering the
program At Prayer with Mary, beginning the week of September 30. This seven-week program of Scripture,
prayer, song and reflection is designed to help everyone – parishioners, family, friends and neighbors – grow
closer to Mary, and through her, to Jesus.
Each participant will receive a book which contains faith sharing materials, consisting of prayer,
scripture readings, reflections and faith sharing questions. You are asked to contribute $9.00, which covers
the cost of the book; funds are available to offset the cost, if needed. Groups will meet once a week at
different times during the day and in the evening, both at Saint Clare and Saint Paschal. Become a better
disciple of Jesus by following the example of the very first disciple, our Blessed Mother.
Registration forms, where you can choose the day and time you would like to meet, are
available in the business office or on the parish website, https://saintclare.net/spiritual-adult-information.
Please register by September 18 so we can order the books. If you have any questions or would like further
information, call Barb Curran @ 440-840-5511.

Symbolon ~ Living the Faith
A Love that Lasts: Discovering Authentic Love
We all want to be loved. In the world’s view, love is about good feelings, emotion and pleasure. It’s
primarily about getting, not giving. But God’s vision of love mirrors the love of the Trinity and the love that
God has for each of us. It is a total committed and unconditional love that centers not on what we can get
from the other person, but on what we can give.
In the September session of Symbolon, we will explore the essential characteristics of authentic love. We will
meet at Saint Paschal on Monday, September 9, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the KAZEL ROOM or at Saint
Clare on Thursday, September 12, from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Harvest Room. There is no registration
fee, so please just come and become part of this excit ing adult faith
formation program.
If you cannot attend either of these sessions, we invite you to watch the video on FORMED
(http://www.saintclare.formed.org) and join the on-line community to share your questions and
comments. If you have any questions or would like further information, call Barb Curran at
440-840-5511.

WHAT IS BEREAVEMENT?
Someone you love very dearly has died and the pain, sadness and con-
fusion seem too great for any words to mean anything. Even life itself
can seem hollow and meaningless and yet, the Bible tells us that
everything works for good for those who love God. The one who
suffers this loss is the mourner who must travel through the phases of
g r i e f . Work ing th rough g r i e f i s ha rd work ,
accomplished over a period of time and made easier when shared with
others. The Saint Paschal/Saint Clare Bereavement Support Group can
help.
WALKING IN HOPE…
A BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT GROUP
Each of us grieves the loss of a loved one in a different way; yet, many
experiences are common to all. Saint Paschal and
Saint Clare wish to offer support to widows and widowers,
parents who have lost a child or anyone who has lost a
significant person in their life. A six-week support group will be
offered beginning on Tuesday, September 17, 2019. We will meet in
the Saint Paschal Rectory Parlor from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in a
relaxed atmosphere with guest speakers, support materials and
refreshments. Come join us and feel free to bring a friend or
relative. This support group is open to parishioners and
nonparishioners. There is no charge. For more information,
contact Barbara Curran at 440-840-5511, Corky Mondello at
440-449-3584 or the Saint Paschal Rectory at 440-442-3410.
Los Nino’s
Los Nino’s is a group started by a young girl in efforts to help the
children that were affected by the ICE (Immigration and Customs
Enforcement) Raids here in Ohio. Currently, they are asking for your
help in collecting donations for the children of Mississippi that were
affected by the recent ICE raids. Donations will be
accepted for daily essential items such as diapers, toothpaste,
detergent, baby formula and nonperishables. Please drop off
donations in the Saint Clare business office. Any questions, please

We have returned from a long and relaxing Labor Day weekend and
Corpus Christi Academy truly came to life this week. Our littlest
Eagles in Pre-K joined us for their first full day on September 3, our
parents and families joined us for Curriculum Night on September 4,
and we begin to prepare for MAP Testing next week. As we continue
through this year, we always remain thankful for the support,
thoughts and prayers of our parishes. The school year has just begun
and we look forward to all of the challenges that await us, both seen
and unseen, and through God’s grace we will have an amazing and
fruitful school year.
God Bless,
