Cave Quest VBS!
Vacation Bible School is back and better than ever! The adventure will begin June 26! Kids will spend each day spelunking through field-tested activity stations with their Cave Crews (small groups of up to 5 kids and one leader). Every station is designed to reinforce the daily Bible Point in a hands-on, interactive way that keeps everyone engaged. The Best part is that it’s completely FREE! Sign your KIDZ up for our Cave Quest VBS today at Connection Central or online at methodisttemple.church/VBS.
Guatemala Mission Trip
This fall we are sending a team to Guatemala to work with our Do For One mission partner, Mission Guatemala. The team will be raising funds to help offset the cost of the trip all summer and needs to raise $9,900.00. Thanks to your generosity, they have raised $873.00 towards their goal.
The team will be hosting a murder mystery dinner Saturday July 16, 2016. The team will transform the church into an elaborate wedding and reception scene. Come see who is to be the next Bride and Groom and which member of the wedding party is to be the victim. Cost of admission is $15 and includes a 4 course dinner. Tickets will be available next Sunday, June 26th at Con-nection Central.
The team will be hosting a rummage sale August 6 in the Fel- lowship Hall. If you would like to donate items for the team to sell, please drop them of to the Fellowship Hall no earlier than August 1.
Prayer for Orlando
The Evansville community is coming together to raise money in support of the victims of the Orlando shooting on Saturday, July 1 at Schaum’s Pizzeria located at 240 S. Green River Rd.
The event will also feature an Interfaith Remembrance Service at 7:30 pm, including local religious leaders from various tradi-tions offering prayers for the deceased.
All money will be raised from donations, a silent auction, and a 10% giveback from Scott Schaum, and will be donated to the OneOrlando Fund.
This is a family friendly event. The event will feature live music from local musicians, as well as special guests Lacey Chad-dock (Bloomington, IN) and Erika Chambers (Nashville). It will also include a chalk drawing contest, face painting, hula hoop dancers, fire dancers, and more! Please plan to attend and support the victims and families of the Orlando shooting.
