TRIP INFORMATION AND BOOKING FORM

ITINERARY Day 1 Fly to Beijing, transfer by bus to 4 star Jianguo Qianmen hotel September 12 for 3 nights. Day 2 Beijing September 13 Morning training. Breakfast in hotel. Tour Tiananmen Square, the biggest public square in the world. Visit The Forbidden City, the vast complex of palaces which was home to successive Emperors for more than 500 years. Lunch at local restaurant. Afternoon training in Beihai Park, also known as the Winter Palace and built in the 11th century. Welcome dinner – the famous Beijing Duck banquet at Hepingmen Duck Restaurant. Day 3 Beijing September 14 Morning training. Breakfast in hotel. Depart by bus to Jinshanling for an optional 3-4 hour hike along the spectacular Great Wall to East Five Eye Tower. Sightseeing by bus for people not hiking. Lunch. Visit Gubei Water Town in Miyun, surrounding the beautiful Mandarin Duck Lake and situated against the Simatai Great Wall. Sightsee through the town, then bus back to Beijing in the evening. Dinner. Day 4 Beijing / Zhengzhou / Dengfeng September 15 Morning training. Breakfast. Check out of hotel and take the bullet train to Zhengzhou. Lunch in Zhengzhou. Bus to Dengfeng and check into the Eco Hotel for 3 nights. Dinner. Day 5 Dengfeng / Shaolin Temple September 16 Morning training in the scenic hotel grounds. Breakfast. Visit the legendary Shaolin Temple and take part in a special presentation ceremony with the Shaolin Abbot. Lunch at Shaolin Temple vegetarian restaurant. In the afternoon take your time to explore the Shaolin Temple. Dinner. Day 6 Dengfeng / Shaolin Temple September 17 Morning training in the scenic hotel grounds. Breakfast. Visit the Pagoda Forest in the grounds of the Shaolin Temple. Optional climb up Songshan Mountain to the Dharma Cave.

Day 6 cont. Sightseeing around the Temple grounds for people not climbing. Lunch at Shaolin Temple vegetarian restaurant. Afternoon training next to the Pagoda Forest. Afterwards explore the Shaolin souvenir shops before boarding the bus to return to hotel. Dinner. Evening outdoor spectacular Grand Ceremony and light show with Zen Music set against the mountain backdrop. Day 7 Dengfeng / Zhengzhou / Yichang September 18 Early breakfast and check out of hotel. Transfer by bus to Zhengzhou railway station to take the 8am bullet train to Yichang. Lunch.

Bus transfer and city tour. Dinner. Board the cruise boat for 4 nights to cruise upstream from Yichang to Chongqing along the picturesque Yangtze River.

Day 8 Yangtze River Cruise September 19 Morning training on the boat’s observation deck as we sail past some breathtaking scenery. Breakfast. Optional shore excursion Tribe of the Three Gorges OR Hometown of Qu Yuan (extra charge). Buffet lunch on the boat. Shore excursion to Three Gorges Dam Site. Training and free time on the boat. Captain’s welcome reception. Buffet dinner. Evening Minorities and Dynasty Costume Show. Day 9 Yangtze River Cruise September 20 Morning training on the boat’s observation deck. Breakfast. Shore excursion – Shennong Stream, a tributary of the Yangtze River between the gorges, with crystal clear waters. Buffet lunch on the boat. Training and free time on the boat as we cruise through the scenic Wu and Qutang Gorges. Optional shore excursion to White Emperor City (extra charge). Dinner, then cabaret show.

Day 10 Yangtze River Cruise September 21 Breakfast. Morning training on the boat’s observation deck. Shore excursion to the Three Gorges Dam. Buffet lunch. Training and free time on the boat. Shore excursion – Fengdu “Jade Emperor”. Optional shore excursion to Fengdu “Ghost City” (extra charge). Captain’s farewell dinner. Day 11 Chongqing / Guangzhou September 22 Breakfast and check out. Disembark cruise boat at Chongqing. Visit Ciqikou Ancient Street and enjoy some market shopping. Lunch. Transfer by bus to Chongqing airport for flight to Guangzhou. Bus to 4 star Landmark Canton Hotel in Guangzhou for 3 nights. Dinner. Day 12 Guangzhou September 23 Breakfast in hotel. Depart hotel early for Beiyun Mountain to hike to the top. Optional cable car available for those not hiking up the mountain. Lunch. Visit Yuexiu Park. Wing Chun training in the park. Visit the nearby Sun Yat Sen Memorial Hall. Return to hotel. Dinner in local restaurant. Day 13 Guangzhou September 24 Breakfast in hotel. Depart for day of sightseeing to – Canton Tower, the landmark of Guangzhou city. Temple of Six Banyan Trees with 1400 year history. Bright Filial Piety Temple, a grand Buddhist temple. Lunch. Wing Chun training. Continue sightseeing to - Chen Clan Academic Temple. Shamian Island, an historic sandbank island in Guangzhou. In the evening take the Guangzhou Pearl River night cruise. Return to hotel. Day 14 Guangzhou September 25 Breakfast in hotel. Today is a free day to explore Guangzhou’s number 1 shopping street – Beijing Road, a 10 minute walk from the hotel. Own lunch (not included). Farewell dinner. END OF TOUR. Cancellation In order to give you the best possible rate for this tour, we book your flights and hotels as soon as you make your booking. Therefore, in the event of cancellation we are obliged to charge the following:

A fee of AUD$600 will be incurred if you cancel on or before June 12, 2020. This is irrespective of deposits paid. A fee totaling 50% of total tour cost will be retained if you cancel between June 13 and July 30, 2020. If you cancel on or after July 31, 2020 the full trip cost is forfeited - NO REFUND. This is why it is essential you take out travel insurance in case of personal emergency or sudden illness.

NO REFUNDS for voluntary termination of travel AFTER trip begins. If a member must involuntarily cancel for physical health reasons AFTER the trip has begun and does not use a portion of their already pre-paid services, NO refunds will be made. No refunds are made for unused excursions and special program activities.

Costs/Exchange Rate Prices quoted are subject to change without notice due to currency exchanges and unforeseen circumstances beyond our control. The land price of the tour is fixed. The cost of the international airfare may change. Therefore a late booking fee by the airfare may apply. To lock in the cost of the international airfare, pay your AUD$600 deposit with a copy of your passport as early as possible. This will then be booked into the airline’s system and the price confirmed to you.

Travel Documents All participants need a valid passport with at least (6) six months' validity remaining from departure date. Accommodation Note that all hotel rooms are shared between 2 people. Single Supplement If you require a single room throughout the tour, add AUD$950. This includes the Yangtze River cruise. All costs presume twin share. Twin Share Room sharing is on a first come first served basis. If the group number is uneven, the last person to book a shared room will be required to pay the single supplement (as above). Itinerary The organizers reserve the right to change/cancel itinerary, hotels, restaurants, services etc. nominated in tour itinerary should circumstances change. This would be for the best interest of the participants or any other operational reason. Insurance Insurance is essential to participants before joining the tour, and should be taken out upon payment for the trip. The policy SHOULD cover personal accident, sickness, loss of baggage, money, loss of deposit, payment or cancellation fees and curtailment expenses. Tips Tips for guides and drivers have been included in the cost of this tour. STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES In all matters relating to travel, accommodation and all associated services, The Global Traditional Wing Chun Kung Fu Association (The Association) acts as the tour organiser. The Association will take all reasonable care to ensure that the participants obtain travel, accommodation and other specified services and in making those arrangements does so as a convenience to the client. However the Association accepts no responsibility or liability for death, injury, sickness or accident to any participant or loss of or any damage to property or otherwise, or any cancellation, delay, detention, irregularity, deviation, substitution arising out of or in conjunction with any accommodation, transportation, conveyance or any other services provided by hotels, restaurants, airlines, coach companies or any other services. The Association is under no obligation or liability to any person as a result of any inaccuracy, misdescription or changes to any tour or itinerary or for the losses or additional expenses due to delays, strike, war, terrorism, quarantine, acts of God, improper documents or any other cause. Neither the Association, nor its servants, agents or employees shall be or become liable or responsible for any additional expenses, liabilities incurred by any tour member as a result of any of the ongoing causes.
