this research aims to knowing relationship about personal hygiene and adequacy of food intake with worm infection in Sekolah Dasar Kec. Medan Helvetia Kota Medan in 2014. this research using analytical survey with an cross sectional method that analyzed relationship between personal hygiene and adequacy of food intake with worm infection in elementary students using questionnaire to knows personal hygiene and worms lab examinations for 88 respondents chosen with a proportional random sampling.

this research shows relationship between hand washing habit with worm infection (p=0,000; PR=0,148), bath habit with worm infection in elementary students (p=0,045; PR=0,198), manicuring with worm infection in elementary students (p=0,000; PR=0,104), footwear with worm infection in elementary students (p=0,000; PR=5,657), adequacy of nutrition intake with worm infection in elementary students p=0,009; PR=0,188). logistics regression test explains that independent variable which is footwear and adequacy of nutrition intake is connected with worms infection in elementary school students

students should always keep their personal hygiene to prevent worm infection by always using footwear while in school yet every time went out from their house and parents are expected to always pay attention to the adequacy of nutrition to reach a good intake and a good body resistance
