Please be reminded that NCAA rules govern ourcommunications with you…The rules allow a Prospective Student-Athlete to initiatecommunication, notify coaches of their interest, and providegeneral information, but there are restrictions based on yourage regarding how/if we can respond to you:• Division I coaches may not exchange emails with prospective
student-athletes (PSAs) until September 1st of their junior year. PSAs can send electronic correspondence to coaches prior to that time, but a coach may not respond with anything other than a generic questionnaire or information regarding institutional camps and clinics. These two items are allowed to be provided/sent at any time.
• In addition to the above restriction, Division I coaches cannot initiate any phone calls with PSAs until September 1st of their junior year. PSAs are welcome to call coaches whenever and as often as they wish, though coaches may not speak with the PSA unless reached directly (may not return phone calls).
• The rules permit PSAs, regardless of age, to take an unlimited number of “unofficial” visits to college campuses. Within the communication restrictions noted above, coaches can help organize those visits and can speak with any PSA while they’re on campus provided it is not during a recruiting dead period.
