People ride fast bikes for many reasons. Some do it because they like to feel the wind in their hair, some because it’s a hobby they’ve done their entire life, some do it for the pure thrill for getting on a bike and going somewhere

fast. Riding fast bikes isn’t just a hobby though, it is a way of life. People get together from all around to compare bikes and go out

riding together.

Why ride a fast motorbike?

While many young people and women do ride fast motorbikes, it is mainly older men who ride them. The reason for this is mainly that it is expensive and so you need to be older to afford a fast bike and the kit which goes with it. Often men ride

more than women because the bikes are fast and scary and you never know quite where you’ll end

up!

Speed (MPH)

The bike was developed to challenge the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-11 as the world's fastest

production motorcycle, and Honda succeeded with a top speed of 178.5 mph (287.3 km/h). Two years later the title passed to reached 194 mph (312 km/h). this bike cost £1,000

pounds.

My top 5: #1 Honda

With a claimed 300 horsepower (220 kW), the H2R track-only variant has 50% more power

than its nearest rival, and could greatly exceed the production motorcycle top speed of nearly 200 miles per hour (320 km/h) held

by the Suzuki or Kawasaki ZX-12R.

My top 5: #2 Kawerzaky

At the heart of the motorcycle sits a twin-cooled high output twin cam 103 engine with a

displacement of 1,690 cc. The engine cranks out a maximum torque of 137 Nm at 3,750 rpm and delivers a combined fuel consumption of

5.6 L/100 Km.

My top 5: #3 Harley Davidson

13 Apr 2014 - Massimo Tamburini was widely regarded as one of the motorbike ... Released in 1994, the 916, with a top speed of almost

162mph, was an instant success. ... department, and designed both Cagiva and

Ducati motorbikes.

My top 5: #4 tamburini

While Jessie James and OCC built different sorts of bikes, both were firmly in the modern school most of the time: aftermarket motors, frequently with huge displacements of up to

120 cubic inches and well over 100 horsepower.

My top 5: #5 chopper

Nothing beats the rush of riding a fast bike, well, nothing apart from a video of someone

riding one! It’s a very close second best. Click on the picture and enjoy!
