This. For a hundred more years will still be better than anything we have built in the past 100 years. It goes to say a lot about our current state of the world. Superficial and temporary; building for the moment and not for generations.

Our society is hindered by the stipulations of a bogus economic practice that makes people believe that a beautiful built environment is not possible. And that if it is possible it should be limited to “civic” buildings, Rome wasn’t built in a day but the whole city looks better than half our developed world. That is 2000 years old.
