“I loved all that I learned on the

MakerBus.”

Through a partnership with Literacy Link South Central, the MakerBus, Canada’s first mobile technology classroom, is ready to visit your literacy program. The MakerBus offers literacy practitioners a bridge beyond the basics of digital technology, and provides learners with access to technology in a safe space where playful learning is encouraged.

Attention Practitioners Are you looking for new ways to share digital technology with your learners? Would you like to give them practical skills, while helping inspire their creativity and lessen their fear of technology? Then it’s time to . . . Get on the Bus!

1

Based on input from literacy agencies like yours, visits by the MakerBus are intended to enhance learner engagement with technology through hands-on experiences. To help set the stage for successful learning, Pre and Post Visit activities are available for each technology focus, optimizing the time learners spend on the Bus and reinforcing the learning that occurs while there. The lessons have been developed to reflect the OALCF.

The modules on the MakerBus are designed to provide learners with an array of skills that are transferable to real life and the job market - but even more importantly, the MakerBus is designed to inspire a curiosity that creates lifelong learners. Join us . . . book your opportunity to Get on the Bus today!
