This is the Year that I go to: If you needed a reason to visit Blackberry this Fall, we give you four big ones: Chef David Chang, Chef Rich Torrisi, Wine Importer Eric Solomon and MAD —all coming to our Smoky Mountains to celebrate and explore what’s happening in the restaurant world. James Beard Award-winning Chef David Chang of Momofuku will lead a demonstration, joined by Food & Wine’s 2012 Best New Chef in America Chef Rich Torrisi, to cook a dinner. Importer Eric Solomon of European Cellars will also bring several renowned producers to share a rare wine tasting experience. All proceeds will be donated to MAD and the Blackberry Farm Foundation. Founded by Chef René Redzepi, MAD is a thoughtful community of chefs, cooks and farmers dedicated to improving the restaurant trade through research regular panel discussions and an annual symposium. Dave was one of the time 100, a GQ Man of the Year, and has taken home four James Beard Awards. Dave’s cookbook, Momofuku, came out in 2009. His quarterly print journal, Lucky Peach, came out in 2011.
