240 FLIGHT International. 15 February 1962 AIR COMMERCE THIS IS THE VC10 These "Flight International" pictures, taken recently in the Vickers flight hangar at Weybridge, show the VC10 for the first time looking like an aeroplane. The aircraft shown is the first of 20 Standard VCIOs ordered, and it is due to make its first flight before the end of May. Deliveries to BO AC will begin in December 1963. Three of the four Rolls- Royce Conways, all standard flight engines, are shown installed, and the main structure is complete with the exception of wing control surfaces.
