Design a novelty desktop that will support a pen/pencil 100mm above the desk.

a) Research ‘desktop desk tidies’, collect two images and list the pros and cons of

these designs;

b) Sketch two ideas including annotation to help explain your thinking;

c) Pair and share your idea;

d) Model your best idea in card;

e) Solid model your chosen idea using 3D CAD;

f) Discuss the materials that would be suitable for manufacturing this holder

giving reasons for your choice;

g) Remember we are using the ‘inter-locking’ method for construction.
