Kitchen exhaust fans commonly located over low to moderate grease-producingkitchen equipment, such as ovens , ra nges , roa ster s , rotisser ies , smok ers ,k ettles , s tea m cook ers and low volume fr y er s accumulate grease whichcan drain onto your rooftop. Absorption Layer— constructed from anengineered open cell polyolefin fabric. Over72 layers of absorbent microfibers wick andcontain oil based fluids, while repellingrainwater. Absorption capacity is up to59 fluid ounces per square foot.

Easy Installation and Maintenance

1. Place G2®Drip Guard® under fan drain spout.Align with top of curb and position G2®DripGuard® flashing under the curb cap.

2. Level the G2®Drip Guard®and screw flashingto the curb nailer with self-tappingscrews provided.

This high capacity filter systemtraps and absorbs up to onegallon of grease. Pre-cut filterreplacements are installed inseconds. Discard saturated filterin disposable bag provided.

*NFPA 96 Standard for Ventilation Control and Fire Protection of CommercialCooking Operations 1998 Edition4-8.2.1 Rooftop terminations shall be arranged with or provided with the following:(c) The ability to drain grease out of any traps or low points formed in the fan orduct near the termination of the system into a collection container that is noncom-bustible, closed, rainproof, structurally sound for the service to which itis applied, and will not sustain combustion. A grease collection device that isapplied to exhaust systems shall not inhibit the performance of any fan.

Exception: Grease containers that are evaluated for equivalency with thepreceding requirements and listed as such.
