Tag ID code tracks the tag location and reports to a tracking database each time the tag is read by a mobile phone. Advertising Media Physical media is clearly marked with a call to action instructing viewers to touch their phone to the media. Mobile Phone An individual viewing the advertisment, touches their mobile phone to the RFID tag. A message is displayed to confirm phone/tag connection. The thinAir data set is an encrypted packet passed from the tag to the phone and then to the server. Protocol is established for OTA, WiFi connection. Mobile Phone Media corresponding to the advertising location, device and subscriber account are sent to the mobile phone. Offers are stored on the phone until redeemed at retail transction terminals. Transaction Terminal Offers sent to the mobile phone are redeemed at point-of-sale. The RFID enabled mobile phone uses a near-field communication wireless signal in place of barcode for loyalty and magnetic stripe for debit and credit cards. Carrier-to-Carrier Network Over the air identifies the device ID, type and carrier and reports to the profile database. Alternately, the phone connects to a local WiFi network. thinAir Ad Server and Tracking Database The device ID is recognized by the system profiler and logged as a known or new system user. Known users are cross referenced for retail loyalty account profiles. The server decodes the thinAir Tag data packet. Tag ID logs the location and filters location data for response. Ad-ID logs the advertising assets then filters media and ad server response.
