The Incas

When.

• Their ancestors lived in Peru as early as 200 B.C

• The civilization started in Peru

• It was not until the 9th Inca, Pachacuti, that the Inca state became a true imperial state.

• There are over 3.5 million Incas then.• The buildings on the ground were single storied edifice,

built of stone with a thatched grass roof.• One of their road ran almost the length of South America

coast! • Smaller crimes were punished by chopping off of the hands

and feet or the gouging of the eyes.• They use llamas for traveling and sometimes of foot.

• THIER ARE 3.5 MILLION PEOPLE THERE.

gods.Their religion centered around the sun.They sacrificed (unlike the Aztecs who
