THE GREENEST OF THE GREEN...Demand for sustainable and ecological materials is increasing in today's

construction sector. Also the demand for sustainable and ecological

products continues to increase in almost all sectors, from food to energy.

ECI products are sustainable, ecological thermal and acoustic

insulation materials for both new and renovated constructions. In

terms of ease of application and compatibility with architectural

detailed solutions, it can be used in a wide range of building groups,

from industrial buildings to residential buildings.

ECI products we manufacture are the most preferred insulation materials

for architects and construction industry professionals in the USA and

Europe. In addition to the construction sector, ECI insulation materials

are used in many other areas such as the automotive, ship, train

wagon industry, white goods and other industrial manufacturing

industries.

WHY ECI INSULATION MATERIALS?The unique insulation product which is sustainable and fully prevents

convection.

ECI products are the most preferred insulation material in the developed

countries with their significantly high performance in heat and sound

insulation.

Sustainable, long lasting and economical insulation products with

higher thermal capacity.

ECI products are produced from %100 natural and recycled material.

Advantageous with its easy and practical usage.

Does not cause itching or irritation.

It does not collapse or get worn out through dusting.

ABOUT USFounded in 1983, our company has been pursuing the principle of

following the sectoral innovations and technology closely.

In line with this principle, the utmost importance has been given to

sustainable and ecological building materials with a special focus on

United States and European standards.

Thus, starting from 2012 after making the necessary investments our

factory, operating in 4.000 m² closed and 10.000 m² open area in

Akhisar Organized Industrial Zone, has started to produce under the

ECI® brand the most preferred cellulose and hemp based insulation

materials.

Our vision is always being reliable, environmentally friendly production

and continuously investing on R&D and innovation to reach highest

standards on insulation products.

revolution of insulation...THERMAL AND ACOUSTICAL INSULATION

Page 5: THERMAL&ACOUSTIC INSULATION MATERIALSDemand for sustainable and ecological materials is increasing in today's construction sector. Also the demand for sustainable and ecological products

INSPIRED BY THE NATUREECI products successfully adapt the organic raw materials to the

insulation sector by environmentally friendly production. ECI products

are overperforming insulation materials, and can be adapted to the

needs of modern construction techniques with their flexiable and

practical installation aspects.

Why ECI Insulation Materials are the Perfect Solution?

Cellulose and hemp based insulation materials have excellent

performance due to their three valuable properties.

Airtightness: Cellulose and hemp based insulation are high density

products. This means that the material has a very high density and a

relatively high weight volume. It helps prevent unwanted air currents in

the insulation (convection) and maintain high thermal capacity.

Thermal capacity: Thermal capacity refers to the amount of energy

required to heat or cool 1 kg of material 1°C. If the value is high, the

material will have a higher insulating property. The thermal capacity of

the glasswool is 670 Joules per kg while the value for the rockwool is

860 joules per kg The thermal capacity of cellulose and hemp based

insulation products has a thermal capacity very close to 1600 joules

per kg (According to EN ISO 10456), (A performance 2-2.5 times

better than their substitutes).

Convection: Convection is the transfer of internal energy into or out of

an object by the physical movement on molecular basis that transfers

the internal energy along with its mass. Cellulose and hemp based

insulation material is a dense material naturally composed of air-

containing fibers. This feature of the material suppresses the heat

transfer and eliminates the convection for natural temperature

differences. Convection starts with a temperature difference of 15°C

for glass wool and 22°C for rockwool, while convection is not seen on

cellulose and hemp based insulation materials.

HEMP INSULATION BATTThe cannabis plant (Hemp/Flax) is one of the most ancient plants used

in history. During its rapid growth it absorbs enormous amount of

carbon dioxide (1 hectare cannabis absorbs about 15 tons of carbon

dioxide per year) much faster than a tree. Hemp/Flax also increases

the quality of the soil and does not require any chemical enrichment

during planting.

Hemp wool insulation batt is an extremely natural, healthy and

sustainable herbal insulation material produced from recycled flax and

hemp fibers.

Exterior wall from Outside and Inside: After the installation of C

and U profiles on the existing wall, a Hemp Insulation Batt is placed

between the C profiles. After covering the insulation material with

moisture barrier, it is covered with plasterboard, OSB board or any

composite covering material. In line with different detail solutions, it

can also be applied by sticking directly to the surface.

Internal Partition Walls: After the installation of C and U profiles,

the Hemp Insulation Batt is placed into the C profiles. Then the

outer surfaces of the structure is covered with materials such as

plasterboard or OSB board. According to different detail solutions,

it can be applied by sticking directly to the surface.

Roof and Attic: Hemp Insulation Batt can be cut to desired size,

applied between the rafters, under the tile or laying on the floor.

CELLULOSE FIBER INSULATIONCellulose Fiber Insulation is an ecological and sustainable material that

is a result of the processing of recycled cellulose fibers and boron salts

with a special technology. It has superior thermal and acoustic

insulation properties. The cellulose wool in fiber form is applied to the

desired surface by spraying or loosefill.

The first applications of cellulose-based insulation began in US in 70's,

and became widespread throughout the world due to its ecological

and sustainable nature.

Cotton insulation is a sustainable and environmentally friendly option

for insulating. Consisting of 85% recycled cotton fibers, cotton insulation

is both an eco-conscious and effective product. The combination of

materials are treated with borate to create a flame-resistant substance

that is also an insect and rodent repellant. Recycled cotton takes very

little energy to manufacture, and comes with an R-value of R-3.4 per

inch. It’s non-toxic and non-hazardous, allowing you to install it

without risking distress to respiratory systems or skin.

Sheep wool is one of the earliest insulation product in history. Human

beings use this product to protect themselves from hot, cold and

damp in various forms. Because of its excellent performance and

properties, this product still maintains its throne among the insulation

products known in the world.

www.eci.com.trTHERMAL AND ACOUSTICAL INSULATION

Installation / Performance

Sheep wool improves indoor air quality by filtering air from harmful

chemicals. The amino acids in wool irreversibly bond with formaldehyde,

NO2 and SO2 on a molecular level.

Absorbs moisture and prevent molds in the walls.

Natural keratin existing in sheep wool suppresses mold and mildew.

Sheep wool is a perfect insulation material as an acoustic buffer

absorbing sound.

Superior performance in thermal conductivity with a R value of average

3.6 per inch.

Naturaly not flammable and resist fire

Sheep wool insulation is all natural, renewable and sustainable.

Easy installment. Batts are installed like other mediums but with no

protection required.
