Theory of relativityAlbert Einstein's theory of relativity is actually two separate theories: his special theory of relativity , postulated in the 1905 paper, The Electrodynamics of Moving Bodies and his theory of general relativity , an expansion of the earlier theory, published as The Foundation of the General Theory of Relativity in 1916. Einstein sought to explain situations in which Newtonian physics might fail to deal successfully with phenomena, and in so doing proposed revolutionary changes in human concepts of time, space and gravity.

In past it was considered by the scientist among the whole world the light wave exposed through the flexible medium which is called ether.

Theory of RelativitySpecial Theory of RelativityGeneral Theory of RelativityEncompasses two theories of Albert Einstein special relativity and general relativity.

Theory of General RelativityAlbert Einsteins general theory of relativity is one of the towering achievements of 20th-century physics. Published in 1916, it explains that what we perceive as the force of gravity in fact arises from the curvature of space and time.

Special Theory of RelativityIt is depends on two postulate:-2

Galilean Transformation

Lorentz Transformation

Lorentz TransformationNow we can find out some result of Lorentz transformation:-Length Contraction

Time Dilation

Mass Expansion

Length ContractionIt is the phenomenon of shorting of length which is in the relative motion with respect to the observer.

Time DilationTime Dilation is the phenomenon of slowing down of a clock as determined by an observer who is in relative motion with the clock.

Mass Expansion

Black Holes

Formation & PropertiesWhen massive stars explode in a supernova the collapsing central region will generically have so much mass that even neutron matter cant halt the collapse. The collapse continues & when this happens, a black hole is born.
