Task OutlineAs you complete this assessment task you will be demonstrating your skills and knowledge to your assessor. The assessor may also observe your practical skills and techniques and ask you questions. Ensure in your work practices that you work safely and efficiently, check that equipment is ready for use and work with others to improve work practices.PART A: General Construction Induction Training (WorkCover WhiteCard)

1. You are required to successfully complete the theoretical components of the unit of competency CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry – The General Construction Induction Training (WorkCover WhiteCard). This may be delivered by your class teacher or by another Registered Training Organisation (RTO).

WhiteCard Number: .

When your WorkCover White Card is mailed to your home address, you MUST show it to your teacher (who will take a photocopy). This must be done prior to you going to work placement. You must keep your Card with you at all times when working in any construction workplace.

If you have completed CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry with another RTO you must provide a copy of your testamur or your White Card to your teacher in order to receive Credit Transfer for this competency.

A photocopy of your White Card or Testamur is to be attached to this Cluster Task Booklet.

2. You are to complete a WHS induction to the construction learning space at school, so that you understand fully how to work safely in a construction environment both at school and in the workplace.

a) Use the Hazard Identification Form on to identify at least TWO potential hazards in your construction learning space and another TWO on a construction worksite.

b) Use the Workshop Environment Analysis Safe Work Method Statement on Page 4 to conduct a safety audit on some of the processes undertaken to complete a project

3. Complete the work readiness activities on the Go2workplacement website and print the work ready certificate to attach to this document as proof of completion.

Students are to demonstrate their ability to work effectively and professionally in a variety of construction practical activities.You are required to construct a minimum of TWO projects to the specifications provided by your teacher. You will be assessed on your:

c) Complete the safe work method statement outlining procedures, potential hazards and hazard controls in Appendix B.

d) Complete the evaluation of your finished Timber framing joint and assessment task in Appendix C
