WELCOMEDear Students, Teachers, School Administrators, and Parents

Please accept Discovering New Artists (DNA) invitation to participate in the 6th Art for Change – International Child Art Competition and Exhibition 2019. This competition was established in 2014 to build a bridge between the privileged and underprivileged communities of Pakistan and support marginalized children in their education through arts.

Art for Change puts special emphasis not only on arts education but also on the fact that we should be socially responsible citizens of our country. It operates on the following model to bring a positive change in the society;

“A small registration fee (token) from a private/elite school student enables the team of DNA to buy art materials and equip marginal-ized children to participate on the same platform for free of cost – The drawing/paintings sold in art exhibitions across Pakistan and internationally help us sponsor the education of marginalized children and promote arts education among children from all economic backgrounds.”

Discovering New Artists believes in promoting creativity and channeling it for generating positive messages and hopeful ideas. Since 2014, 20,500 students have drawn/painted on different themes and supported 12,750 students from marginalized communities to be part of the competition and exhibitions.

However, the journey carries on. With support from our partners, this year we want the children from Pakistan to learn and express their ideas on how to conserve wildlife and save endangered species. DNA provides the children an opportunity to draw something to convince through their art the ways to save wildlife, show endangered species (water and land) and find solutions to save their habitat. Thus, the theme for Art for Change – 6th International Child Art Competition & Exhibition is "Saving Wildlife & Endangered Species”.

Your school’s participation will give a chance to thousands of students from marginalized children to be part of the competition. Therefore, we would like to request you to submit maximum artworks in order to bridge the gap between privileged and underprivi-leged communities and showcase your work internationally.

We hope to see wonderful art entries. Best of Luck!

Yours Sincerely,

Hassan Mujtaba ZaidiFounder & Executive DirectorDiscovering New Artists
