HYMN OF MEDITATION – No. 2 – #219 – It is a thing most wonderful

1. It is a thing most wonderful 3. I cannot tell how he could love

Almost too wonderful to be, someone so weak and full of sin; That God’s own Son should his love must be most wonderful come from heaven if he could die my love to win. And die to save a child like me. 2. And yet I know that it is true; 4. It is most wonderful to know He came to this poor world below, his love for me so free and sure; And wept, and toiled, and mourned, but it’s more wonderful to see and died my love for him so faint and poor only because he loved us so. 5. And yet I want to love you, Lord; O teach me how to grow in grace, And I will love you more and more, Until I see you face to face.
