Explain tworeligious beliefs about helping victims of war...

One religious belief about helping victims of war is that you should “love your neighbour as yourself” (Mark 12:31). This means that all good Christians should help any victims of any war. This is supported by the parable of The Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25‐7)

Another religious belief about helping victims of war is through direct action and organisations such as the Catholic organisation Caritas, and the largest one Christian Aid. These charities help out across the world especially refugees from wars.

Explain two religious beliefs about forgiveness...

One religious belief about forgiveness is that we should all be forgiving to others especially if they do us harm. This was taught by Jesus to Christians in The Lord’s Prayer. In the Lord’s Prayer it states “forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. This means that Christians should not hold grudges and should try to have reconciliation rather than retribution.

Just War Theory is good as a theory about war because Thomas Aquinas gave clear guidelines on when it might be acceptable to fight – eg self defence – this is a good theory because it means that people can strongly challenge greed and evil leaders such as Hitler and stop them from winning wars and making humanity worse.
