TheatreOpeners provides unrivalled access to top London theatre for secondary school pupils for just £7 a ticket.

Each production is offered with: Teacher’s Educational Resource Pack Question and Answer session with members of the cast and/or production team

INSIGHT SESSIONS

These 90-minute sessions take place before the matinee performances.

Designed as participatory masterclasses, Insight sessions are facilitated by key members of the company and creative team (such as the director, writer and stage manager) and offer a first-hand insight into the creative choices made in staging a theatre production.

Gloriana By Benjamin BrittenRoyal Opera HouseQueen Elizabeth I is approaching the end of her reign. Her affection forthe impulsive Earl of Essex is tested when he grows increasingly ambitious. Should she listen to her advisors, or be swayed by her emotions? Richard Jones directs Benjamin Britten’s opera, which explores tensions between affairs of state and affairs of the heart. This performance is given in partnership with the Royal Opera and the Taylor Family Foundation Schools’ Matinees, 2012/13 Season.

Mousetrap Theatre Projects enables young people with limited resources, access or support to engage with the best of London’s theatre.

We run a range of subsidised, in-depth education programmes, all of which include a theatre trip. With dozens of plays across London to choose from, teachers can be part of a process exploring all aspects of theatre-making, using top productions as a creative resource. HOW TO BOOK

•Please complete the application and return it by post to TheatreOpeners at the address below, or fax it to 020 7632 4111.

•Please complete all sections of the application form, especially contact details including an email address and mobile number.

•Tickets are strictly limited, so we cannot guarantee your application will be successful. Priority will be given to schools new to Mousetrap Theatre Projects and those with a higher percentage of students on free school meals.

•Schools may only attend one production, although you may rank as many choices as you wish. Following the application deadline, we will confirm whether or not your school has been successful.

•Your tickets will then be booked and an invoice issued. Please do not apply for tickets you cannot use and please check the school calendar carefully in advance.
