Fran is an Assistant Teaching Professor inthe eatre department of the University ofVictoria. She teaches acting for the stage aswell as for the camera.

Fran enjoys directing classic plays andthose of Canadian playwrights. Favouritesinclude Fortunate Son, e School ForScandal, Wreckage, As You Like It, For ePleasure of Seeing Her Again, A MidsummerNight’s Dream and Les LiasionsDangereuses. Most recently she directed aproduction of You’re A Good Man, CharlieBrown for the Phoenix eatre at UVic.

She has acted in stages across Canada andhas appeared in several films and TV

productions. She was nominated for aGenie Award for her role in Blue CitySlammers.

New Canadian plays have long been afocus for Fran. She was program head of theBanff Playwrights’ Colony for many years.

Fran has worked as an adjudicator foreatre BC in most of the zones. She oengives acting and directing workshops forTBC at Mainstage and has been adramaturge/director for the New PlayFestival on several occasions. She isdelighted to be adjudicating the GreaterVancouver Zone and hopes to have somelively discussions and work sessions.

MAINSTAGE is the annual provincial theatre festival for communitytheatre groups throughout BC. Sponsored by Theatre BC, it is oneof the longest running theatre traditions in Canada. This excitingevent is the culmination of winning plays from Theatre BC ZoneFestivals involving up to 10 Zones throughout theprovince. More than 60 community theatreclubs participate in Zone Festivals heldfrom April to May annually, withhopes riding on the chance to taketheir winning play to MAINSTAGEfor friendly competition with theprovince’s best.

Presented by DSR ProductionsSynopsis: Sorry, Wrong Number comes from a classic radio series called Suspense that was broadcast during

the 1940s and 50s. Sorry, Wrong Number, its single most popular episode, was about a bedriddenwoman who panics aer overhearing a murder plot on a crossed telephone connection but is unableto persuade anyone to investigate. It was first broadcast on May 25, 1943, and was restaged seventimes, the last on February 14, 1960 — each time with the legendary Agnes Moorehead.
