This louver is standard on all new induced draft counterflow EVAPCO products and available for many induced draft units already in service.

The WST inlet louver incorporates important design enhancements that eliminate “splash out” while maximizing airflow. The resultant innovative design was achieved using extensive CFD modeling coupled with EVAPCO’s state-of-the-art R&D facility.

Design Highlights• Eliminates SunlightIn addition to eliminating splash-out, EVAPCO’s WST air inlet louvers are sight tight. They inhibit algae growth more effectively than previous designs.

• Superior Thermal PerformanceDeveloped with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software, EVAPCO’s WST louver design has been proven through laboratory tests to maximize airflow while preventing water droplets from leaving the unit, even when the fan motor is de-energized.

• Easy Cold Water Basin AccessEVAPCO’s WST louver design has no loose hardware and includes framed louver sections that allow for easy removal, handling, and the most accessible basin in the industry.

• Zero-Hardware Louver DesignEVAPCO’s newest induced draft equipment features zero-hardware louver design.

• Optimum Design FeaturesThe framed PVC louver sections are corrosion resistant, and the new frame design will accept replacement PVC louver material to minimize replacement part costs. In addition, the pan section incorporates an intermediate louver stop that eliminates splash-out between louver frame sections.

• Upgrade Existing EquipmentRetrofit kits are available for many of your existing EVAPCO induced draft units. Custom packages can be provided for most competitors’ induced draft units.
