Hitler was England's greatest enemy and he was the leader of Germany and he wanted to rule the world.
Germany usually aimed on bombing towns and Cities but they didn't bomb in the countryside because there more likely to kill some farm animals than peoples homes.
Children had to evacuate from their homes because of the war but children under five had to stay with there mums.
Children had to be evacuated for two whole years.
The blitz stand for blitzkrieg and they also mean fast and heavy attacks.
The blitz were bombed all over England and ruined peoples homes and tore families apart.
Lord Woolton told people to grow their own food as well as buying their food so they can give it to people in the war.
It was illegal to feed the birds with the food you had or else you would be fined £30.
Shortages and rationing did not mean that people starved.
When it was the end of the war there was no more rationing and England beat Germany. When the war ended
everyone helped fix the buildings and all the soldiers had to help to.
