THE PROGR AMME
As the centrepiece of our four-day programme, The World Superyacht Awards ceremony will take place on Saturday 18 May 2019 in the heart of the City, in Old Billingsgate, an iconic Grade II listed building overlooking the River Thames.
Throughout the programme our guests will join us for a curated set of quintessentially luxurious experiences running from Thursday 16 through to Sunday 19 May.
The social activities will commence on Thursday with early arrivals choosing from one of two tailored events – a day of Golf at the exclusive St George’s Hill club, or a country day and clay shooting experience at West Wycombe House. Thursday evening will then offer an option to join our ‘Secret Supper Club’ at one of several intimate dinner parties at unique locations in London.
On Friday guests will have the opportunity to relive the Golden Age of Travel aboard the iconic Belmond British Pullman, sister train to the Venice-Simplon Orient Express, before joining us for cocktails, canapés and entertainment during our Welcome Party, hosted at the historic Kensington Palace.

Option 1: A day in the Country, West Wycombe Estate with E J Churchill – The home of Shooting
We have prepared a special opportunity for our guests to experience the historic West Wycombe Estate, the private residence of Sir Edward and Lady Dashwood.
Following breakfast in the famous Hellfire Caves, guests will shoot simulated flurries across a variety of locations around the Estate. Experience is not required as guests will be assisted by professional instructors, including some of the best game shots and competitive clay shot specialists in the world. With varied terrain including roads, river crossings and 45 degree hills, guests will also have the opportunity to test their off road skills between the shooting stands in 4x4 vehicles. Following completion of the shoot, guests will return to West Wycombe House for a champagne reception and a Michelin star lunch.
The house today is frequently featured in film and TV series, most recently as one of the locations for Downton Abbey. Other appearances include, The Importance of Being Earnest, I Capture the Castle, The Lost Prince and W.E.

The majority of guests will be in London on the Saturday, and we will arrange a variety of “experiences” during the day. Most of our guests will have visited London many times – we want to offer something special.
This will be the chance to discover another side of London; something off the beaten track, behind the scenes, unusual or less well known; perhaps historical, cultural, retail, sporting or active, educational, theatrical or experiential - or a combination of all these.
This is the perfect opportunity to network with a small group of our guests in an informal and relaxed atmosphere. Each hosting opportunity will be for up to 40 guests, run from 10:30am until 2:30pm and will include a light lunch (provided by the host).
There will be around 10-12 experiences offered , with guests choosing on a first come, first served basis.
