Since 1957 we have registered more than 100 patents, and we carry a delivery program of more than 40,000products, which are used wherever electrical energy is used to power, drive, light or control things. ÖLFLEX® SOLAR SOLUTIONS - THE ONLY CHOICE FOR YOUR INSTALLATION

There are many reasons to use enhanced PV or Solar cable constructions rather than the minimum acceptable standards.

For the most part, PV wiring is exposed wiring when use on roof tops and/or solar farms. PV/Solar cableproducts utilizing an insulation layer and a separate jacket layer provide enhanced mechanical protection. (Improved protection against accidental damage, abrasion resistance, rodents, etc.)

PV wiring terminations are typically performed at the installation site with crimp style PV connectors.Typical minium approved wiring products are not fine stranded, and usually utilize bare copper susceptibleto corrosion/oxidation, resulting in higher resistance crimps.

PV/Solar cable products utilizing tinned coated copper and fine stranding provide enhanced longterm reliability from corrosion/oxidation and improved crimp connections due to the fine stranding.This results in consistent lower resistance connections and enhanced long term efficiency of thesystem.

Other considerations include the long term UV or Sunlight resistance of the wiring/cable. Many local testing standards currently do not provide any specific reference to real life service expectations from a ULor Sunlight exposure aspect. Based on our UV/Sunlight Resistance testing, and our global experiencein this market segment, Lapp products are designed for a sunlight service life expectancy of atleast 25 years.
