When Joseph Mark was approached by Bombardier to create a presentation for the tendering of

Queensland Rail’s next project, we were invited to developed a CD/USB version of the application. The

interactive application allowed users to view internal and external aspects and features of the next train

design.

When MyFitnessStudio wanted their new member’s to experience a fun aspect to the signing up process,

In the past few weeks my team has put together an awesome Augmented Reality (AR) project showcasing

our solar systemy for educational purposes. The heavenly models were put together by Md Tarik our very

talented 3D expert. AR is one of those technology that is extremely difficult to explain. You have to see it in

action to understand but I will do my best to explain this one.

Imagine seeing the planets rotating and revolving around the sun right on your table top- that’s right,

on your table or wherever the marker is place.

So how does this work?

Using a smart phones you can run special Apps that allow you to view AR content. Using the phone’s

camera, the App continuously searches for pre-programmed symbols or shapes called “Markers”. The

Markers help the App calculate the angle at which the phone is held in relative space. Once found (the

Marker), the App will draw virtual virtual content and superimpose it over real space- effectively allowing the

viewer to reality that has been augmented.

I’m not too sure if I did a good enough job at describing that… the best way is to see it yourself.
