ARROW KEYS

Moves the cursor left, right, up or

down.

TAB KEY

A key on computer keyboard that inserts a tab.

Moves the cursor to cell A1.

I. GO TO THE WORKSHEETS TABS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE WINDOW

2.RIGHT-CLICK ON THE SHEET 1 TAB.

3.CHOOSE INSERT. THE INSERT WINDOW WILL APPEAR.

4.CLICK ON WORKSHEET> OK.A WORKSHEET WILL BE INSERTED.

YOU CAN ADD WORKSHEET TROUGH THE MENU BAR.

1.SELECT INSERT FROM THE MENU BAR.

2.CHOOSE WORKSHEET. A WORKSHEET WILL BE INSERTED .

1.Highlight a row by clicking on its label.The row label is at the leftmost part of the row.

2.Right-click on the highlighted row. Choose Insert. A new row will be added . The new row is inserted before the highlighted row not after it.

You can add a row through the Menu Bar.

1. Highlight a row by clicking on its label.

2. Click on Insert on the Menu bar.

3. Select rows. A new row will be added before the highlighted row.

ADDING A COLUMN

1. Highlight a column by clicking on its label. The column label is at the top of the column.

2. Right click on the highlighted column. Choose insert. A new column will be added. The new column is inserted before the highlighted column, not after it.

RESIZING A ROW1. Choose a row you

want to resize. Go to the row label at the leftmost portion.

2. Point the mouse to the line at the top or at the bottom of the row label.

3. When the pointer turns into a double arrow, drag the line until the row is resized the way you want.

• 1. Click on the row label.

2. Select Format from the Menu bar.Choose Row > Height. The row height window appears.

3. Type in the new height of the row. Click on OK.

You can resize a row through the Menu bar.

RESIZING A COLUMN

1. Choose a column you want to resize. Go to the column label at the top.

2. point the mouse to the line at the left or right of the column label.

3. when the pointer turns into a double arrow, drag the line until the column is resized the way you want.

You can resize a column through the Menu bar.

1. click on the column label.

2. select Format from the Menu bar.

3. Choose Column > width. The Column Width window appears.

4. Type in the new width for the column. Click OK.

SELECTING CELLS1. To select cell,

click on the cell once.

2. To select an entire row, click on the row label.

3. To select an entire column, click on the column label.

4.To select an entire worksheet, click on the Select All button at the top left corner of the worksheet. The button is found at the left column A and on the top of row 1.

5.To select a range of cells, drag the mouse across the cells. Another way is to hold down SHIFT key while pressing the ARROW KEYS.

6. To edit the content of a cell, double-click on the cell.

CUT AND PASTE1. Select the cell

or range of cells you want to cut.

2. Click on the Cut icon on the Standard toolbar.

3. Click on the Paste icon.

COPY AND PASTE

1. Select the cell or range of cells you want to copy.

2. Click on the Copy icon on the Standard toolbar.

3. Click on the Paste icon.

DRAG AND DROP1. Select the cell

or range of cells you want to move.

2. Point the mouse over the borders of the selected cell or cells. The pointer changes into across.

3.Hold down the left mouse button and drag the mouse. Bring selected cell or cells to a spot on the worksheet that you like.

4. Release the left mouse button. The selected cell or cells will be moved.
