B.A. family update

From the Pastor’s Study

Mouzon Biggs, Jr.

On Saturday, May 4, Gayle and I will be in Shreveport, Louisi-ana, for me to give the commencement address at Centenary College. Centenary is older than Tulane University or L. S. U., a wonderful United Methodist liberal arts college that teaches people how to read, think, and write. If I had ever heard one of my professors say, “If you forget everything else, remember this,” I would certainly have written it down. That’s what the author of John’s Gospel did, and it provides the heart of Sunday’s sermon. We are down to the last six now: April 28 - “IF YOU FORGET EVERYTHING ELSE, REMEMBER THIS!” May 5 - “NO ROSE-COLORED GLASSES, BUT HOPE ANYWAY!” May 12 - “HE ASKED GOD TO PROTECT US AND MAKE US ONE!” May 19 - “HOW SAD TO WRITE, ‘AS YET THERE WAS NO SPIRIT’!” May 26 - “WHAT GOD TOLD ABRAHAM, JESUS TOLD THE ELEVEN!” June 2 - “LET ME TRY THIS ONE LAST TIME!”
