The CB&I TRI - The Woodlands triathlon, a USAT sanctioned and certified event, is scheduled for Saturday, May 3,2014,7 a.m., at Northshore Park. The triathlon consists of a 500-meter swim, a 15-mile bike and a 5K run. Registration will be capped at 1,300 participants. All courses wind through the beautiful George Mitchell Nature Preserve, located on 1,800 wooded acres adjacent to Rob Fleming Park in Creekside Park. En ineerine For Kids - How Amusing! Morning session challenges students to design a theme park. Students building on reflective and problem-solving skills, while exploring multiple engineering disciplines. Afternoon session students participate in a "Robotic Olympics" and send their best robots to compete. Students build a basic robot using an EV3 LEGO® Robotics educational kit, then modify it to perform athletic challenges such as basketball, hockey wrestling, and track. Ages 7-14. TENNIS PROGRAMS mmsAcmkiY Whether you are a novice or a tennis whiz. The Woodlands Township has a tennis program for you! Multiple lighted tennis courts are available in every Village! The Woodlands Parks and Recreation systenn features over 74 tennis courts. The larger tennis complexes are located at Bear Branch, Shadowbend, Creekwood, Sawmill and Lakeside Parks.
All tennis programming is coordinated by The Woodlands Tennis Academy at T h e Woodlands Township Recreation Center L e s s o n s are available for players of all skill levels and ages! The Academy also offers leagues, drills, tournaments and play days with 16 highly experienced tennis instructors, many of whom are U S T P A certified.
Youth Tennis Lessons This specialized stimulating and challenging program is designed to appeal to children aged 5 -17 years old. A team of highly trained and motivated instructors provide a wonderful environment for your child to learn tennis!
