Kim Gibson – President Well the January meeting made us feel like we were ready for boating

season to begin. The 60 degree days we can sure get use to. Thank You

to all those who attended. What a fun time we had. I hope all that who

attended had as good a time as I did. The band Friday night was a lot

of fun. Thank You to WRYC and LCYC for putting the weekend event

together. I think it would be great if we made this place our Annual

January meeting. It was something different and a good half way

point for all members. The slate of the offices is all set and running

unopposed. We had a good discussion regarding Charities. Sarah has

the information on how to get to the page explaining on how much money

goes to certain organizations. What an eye opener!! We will discuss this

at the April meeting. Keep in mind that the April meeting is our ISG Ball,

congratulating Sarah and her board. If you haven’t been to the French

Quarter, you’re in for a treat. It is a really great place. Hope to see a lot of

you there. Don’t forget to bring your ISG membership card to vote.

Sarah Schuman – 1st Vice President

It was so good to see all of you out for the January meeting. I am pleasedwith what we accomplished. I think everyone had a good time.Looking forward to the April meeting and Ball. Hope to see you all there.Should be through my recovery from open heart surgery by then.

Come on, Spring!

Sincerely, Sarah Schuman 1st Vice President

Sandi Kosinski – 2nd Vice President Well here we are looking toward the annual meeting in April. Elections roll around again. This means

membership cards! This means dues paid in full. This means all member info up to date for the next roster. This shouldn’t be like pulling teeth. We keep reworking our forms to accommodate all the info that we try to include and still can’t get names and numbers correct. One way to help with this is to actually come to a meeting and give your info in person. Who knows, you might have fun if you let yourself be open to it.

Speaking of meetings, just a heads up about the luncheon meeting on 4/13/13, The board recommended and the body approved a standing rule that if the board chooses to it can offer the luncheon at NO CHARGE to the membership. And that’s what we did. Flyer is in this issue. Be there or be square! Just remember to make a reservation by the deadline. I’d like to see us overwhelm the French Quarter with red pants! The word of the month is CARPOOL!

Sandi Kosinski, Second Vice

Donna Payne- Financial SecretaryHappy 2013 everyone! I hope your new year has started out with many enjoyable

events and relaxing days. Speaking of enjoyable events, I am sure all of us that attended the January meeting and get-to-gether in Port Clinton, OH had a great time. The Commodore Hotel rooms and staff were pleasant and courteous. The entertainment “The Menus” at Mr. Ed’s was fantastic. Many compliments to President Kim Gibson and her helpers for putting together the event. ISG needs to have more fun days like these for the membership to enjoy.

As of this writing, I have two chapters that have not paid their dues. Great job, ladies! Hopefully, I will receive those chapters very soon. ISG is a great way to network with your fellow Past Presidents and to find out what those chapters are involved in for the further promotion of safe boating. I am looking forward to our April meeting and to see all of you. Hopefully, many more will be attendance to see how much fun we can have! Remember, if you cannot attend the meeting; be sure to vote via our absentee ballot.
