SUMMER CAMP AT WILSONDear Parents,

Summer is a great opportunity to provide creative and physical activities that are much more diverse than what is possible during the regular academic year. At The Wilson School Summer Camp, we group children according to their age and anticipated grade level. You will find that our program provides a perfect balance between planned activities and free time that is important to a child’s development.

We have a wonderful offering of weekly sessions this summer that are sure to give your child a wide range of unique and engaging experiences. The camp is operated by a talented team of Wilson faculty and college-aged counselors, and every child’s safety and well-being is our primary concern.

We look forward to seeing you this summer!

Sincerely,

June 08, June 15 (weeks 1 & 2)

Catch a Rainbow: In this session, campers discover the colors of the rainbow through engaging stories and fun activities. Budding colorists will mix colors together to make new ones and even learn to separate them using a prism.

June 22, June 29 (weeks 3 & 4)

Let’s Go to the Circus: Ladies and gentlemen! Now in the center ring, your child will experience a glimpse of life under the Big Top. We will dress up like clowns, practice walking on a low-level tight rope, learn to juggle balloons and “become” a beloved circus animal.

July 6, July 13 (weeks 5 & 6)

People on the Move: How do people travel from here to there? We will explore different forms of transportation that people use to get around the world; from buses to trains and boats to planes. This session is a must for the transportation enthusiast!

July 20, July 27 (weeks 7 & 8)

Fun with the Alphabet: Learning the alphabet will be an exciting adventure for your little one. Through songs, games, books and art, children will build a wonderful foundation for their early childhood academic experiences.

June 22, June 29 (weeks 3 & 4)

Lights, Camera, Action: Get immersed in the world of theatre! We’ll start each day with some theatre games that will get your child’s body moving and their brain thinking. Using our faces, bodies and voices, along with imaginative props and costumes, we’ll put on our own original play.

July 6, July 13 (weeks 5 & 6)

Kids That Cook!: This session is filled with hands-on cooking activities that will tantalize the palate and the brain. Campers learn recipes that are not only delicious but healthy too. Using different cooking techniques, your young chef will transform simple ingredients into flavorful masterpieces.

July 20, July 27 (weeks 7 & 8)

Math Mania: Math isn’t just for school anymore! We will be playing and building games that will have your child counting, adding and laughing all summer long. Campers will build their own game to take home and share with friends and family.

Campers’ daily schedule includes organized games, age-appropriate enrichment activities and sports. In addition, we provide regular swimming at Shaw Park Pool, field trips and special assemblies. All campers are required to take a swimming test before they can enter the main pool or the diving tank. Also, each camper will attend special interest classes offered during that session.
