West Eurasian Roadmap meetings Objectives • Share information on FMD virus circulation (national

and regional level) in the region to assist planning of preventive measures in the short term

• Review progress along the Regional Roadmap towards the vision of Shiraz 2008 ‘Free from clinical FMD by 2020’ assessment + planification

Assessment procedure • Each country completes the PCP checklist prior to the

Roadmap meeting • Countries should come to the meeting with evidence

to justify the checklist answers • During the meeting, countries are ‘interviewed’ by a

Regional Advisory Group • At the conclusion of the meeting, a Stage is assigned

to the country (may be provisional)

Planification Countries should answers the following questions: • How to progress within and to the next stage? • What are the main challenges to progress and how van

these be overcome to maintain the current stage and/or to progress to the next one?

• What external support do you need to progress?
