eneral English focuses on the 4main areas of language learning –listening, reading, writing andspeaking – to develop the student’sconfidence in the English language.Teachers develop lessons that arepractical and context orientated,based on the needs and goals of thestudents. In the classroom, lessonsfocus on student interaction andinvolvement while teachers provideconstant feedback and support in the use of the language.

Students who complete General Englishhave the confidence and ability to usetheir language skills in a variety of usefulsituations, including academic, business,travel and multinational environments.

Full-time students receive 21.5 hours oflessons. Part-time students receive 15.5hours of lessons. Full-time students have 3.5 hours of self study.

The English for High School programme is athree-level course designed for the highschool language learning context. Studentsenter the course at a level appropriate totheir ability. Teachers on the programme are qualifiedEnglish as a Second Language (ESL) teacherswith extensive experience in high schooleducation. They are dedicated to providinga rewarding and motivating programme.

nglish for Academic Purposes provides a solidfoundation in the use of the English languagefor success in the university classroom, with asignificant focus on preparation for the IELTSexam. Depending on their level of English,students are placed into either EAP1 or EAP2.Each course focuses on raising the students’overall reading, writing, speaking and listeningabilities. Students also learn how to writeacademic essays and reports, read and researchmaterials and successfully listen to lectures andgive presentations.

EAP1 is an 8 week course, and is for students at anUpper Intermediate (IELTS 5.0 or equivalent) level.EAP2 is also an 8 week course, and is for students ata Pre-Advanced (IELTS 5.5 or equivalent) level.
