It’s Back to School Time

I’m a grandmother of 43 grandchildren

and I still have nightmares of roller skat-

ing to school barefooted or being late for

class only to find a pop quiz delivered in

the one class I hadn’t studied for. I don’t

know where the time flies, but here it is time

to reschedule the calendar to comply with

school activities again. And it’s time for

back-to-school shopping.

The flip-flops will be replaced by new tennis

shoes and the halter tops and swimsuites will

have to take place in the

back of the drawer to make

room for the new designer

tops. I thought I was

through with the responsi-

bility of school shopping.

But, alas, the grandchildren

need supplies, too.

And what better way is there to celebratee

than to plan that one special last weekend out-

ing with the family. This issue pays tribute to

those events that will help us put a stamp of

approval on summer success.Kathy Barnett
