Summer Series Week 4 July 16 Rev. Dr. Ely Prieto, Lutheran Intercity Network Coalition (LINC)

LINC San Antonio is a coalition of Lutheran congregations and ministries, combining efforts and resources to intentionally reach the multi-cultural and urban settings of San Antonio with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, to equip and train servant leaders for ongoing ministry, and to care for the spiritual and physical needs of our neighbors in the name of Jesus Christ.

Summer Series Week 5 July 23 Nick Arnold, Student Ministry Mission Trip to LA Our high school mission trip gave 15 participants the opportunity to serve the homeless and underprivileged in Los Angeles. Come hear how the skills they learned while in LA will allow them to serve our San Antonio community in a similar way.

Summer Series Week 6 July 30 SHLC Haiti Team’s Report on Haiti Mission Trip Our mission team will share photos and stories of their recent visit to Haiti.

THANKSGIVING IN JULY

Thanksgiving in July-Come you thankful people and donate to Christian Assistance Ministry (CAM) during the month of July! Children's Ministry is hosting a donation drive each Sunday in July. You can drop off your donations throughout the week in the wicker baskets in the church lobby. Each week has a different theme: July 16: Souper Sunday School (canned soup) July 23: School Success Sunday (school supplies) July 30: I Can Sunday (canned vegetables, fruits and meats)

SENIOR SHEPHERDS INVITING YOU...

The Planetarium Visit is Open to the Shepherd Family! You are invited to the Scobee Planetarium, 1819 N. Main Ave. (parking in non-reserved spaces in Lot 21 and Lot 29 –look for the large blue Charlie Cheever Jr. Star Tower) for two 30 minute shows on July 20, “Dynamic Earth” and “Secrets of the Sun.” Children age 6 and over are welcome. The cost is $5 and doors will open at 10:30 a.m. The show starts at 11 a.m. with no admittance once it begins. Seating is limited. Please RSVP by July 18 to Dusty or Gladys Jacobson, 532-8110. The group will lunch at Good Time Charlie’s, 2922 Broadway, following the planetarium visit.
