No amount of preparing will help you if you drank any alcohol before your speech, so don’t

do it! Drinking will most likely set you up for disaster, and will probably make you say what

you should not have said. I must admit, I was really tempted to drink… (I was nervous…

boy was I nervous!). Now looking back, I’m glad I decided to wait and satisfy my need to drink when it was all said and done.
