    SHELL BUKOM PROJECT AWARDEDLeighton Oshore in consortium with BoskalisOshore has been awarded a Transportation,Installation and Dredging contract by ShellEastern Petroleum (Pte) Ltd to replace part othe Single Point Mooring (SPM) 48 Subseapipeline. The project is located near BukomIsland, Singapore and is part o Shells plannedmaintenance.

    Leighton Oshore CEO Mr. Boyd Merrett and Boskalis RegionalDirector, Mr. Neil Haworth said, We are pleased to be a parto this project with a world class client like Shell. As with allprojects, saety, environment, stakeholder and local authorityliaison are paramount. These are all core values and strengths oLeighton and Boskalis and the consortium is united to deliver thisimportant project in line with our values and commitment.

    Work will commence immediately on engineering, planning andprocurement. The project scope includes cleaning o the existingSPM Buoy, PLEM, Hoses and pipeline; transportation andremoval; dredging and installation. The project will be delivered

    while adhering to stringent saety standards and environmentalconsiderations.

    Leighton and Boskalis have strong track records in oshoreinstallation, maintenance and dredging works in Asia and we lookorward to working with Shell to deliver this project and build on

    our successul track record, both Mr. Merrett and Mr. Haworth

    Leighton Contractors in Australia has awarded LeightonEngineering a contract to design and carry out analysis oSeaastenings or caisson towing operations or the Gorgon JettyProject in Western Australia.

    Leighton Engineerings scope o work includes:. BOA35 barge transportation structural integrity

    check under concrete caisson cargo load. Design o sea astening and grillage system or

    concrete caissons on BOA 35 transportationbarge. Review o hydrodynamic behavior o BOA35

    during tow and cyclone events. Caisson load o and installation by BOA35

    transportation barge

    LEIGHTON OFFSHORE SUCCESSFULLYCOMPLETES IRAQ OPERATIONS AND

    MAINTENANCE PROJECT

    Leighton Offshore has completedits Iraq Crude Oil Export ExpansionProject (ICOEEP) Operations andMaintenance contract for client SouthOil Company.

    Leighton has been successfully

    operating and maintaining the offshoreSingle Point Mooring (SPM) systems,which were also installed by Leighton,since achieving frst oil earlier thisyear.

    Leightons scope of work includedSPM Mooring operations, tanker hoseconnections, scheduled maintenance,engineering support, diving services,oil pollution emergency responseas well as training for South OilCompany staff.

    Since March this year, Leighton hassuccessfully loaded 78 tankers with143,794,899 barrels of oil with nosafety or environmental incidents.

    We are very proud of our record of safely operating andmaintaining one of the worlds largest export terminals here inIraq, after the successful installation by Leighton of the pipelinesand SPM systems, ICOEEP Project Director, Jim Clifford said.This further builds on our record in the Life of Field services

    business and we will be targeting similar work in the future.

    Leighton will commence installation of a fourth SPM system aspart of the overall ICOEEP expansion in December this year.

    Leighton Oshore has successully completed the Single PointMooring System installed or Tanzania Ports Authority (TPA) and therst tanker o imported white product (diesel) has been ofoaded.

    The project is located South East o the Port o Dar Es Salaam andcomprised the development and pre commissioning o an oshoreterminal or the import o crude oil and white products capable omooring tankers up to 150 KDWT.

    Project Director, Eilert Halvorsen said, We are proud to haveworked with TPA to complete this project which included a numbero technical rsts, including a complete pigging o the systemthrough the SPM and pipelines and some challenging work intrenching through the intertidal zone and ree crossing.Leightons scope o work included:. Fabrication and Installation o the SPM System. Procurement and Installation o two oshore pipelines, 28-inch

    or the crude line and 24-inch or the white product line. Procurement and Installation o onshore pipelines approximately

    4km. Testing and Pre-commissioning o the system

    This is an important acility or Tanzania and we are continuingto ocus on East Arica as a market, where there are signicantpotential oshore oil and gas projects in early stages odevelopment, Mr Halvorsen said.

    MOORING PROJECTOn 30 October 2012, Leighton Oshore achieved asignicant HSE milestone. As a business, we have workedover 12 months without a lost time incident (LTI).

    The Project Operational areas which this covers are:. Iraq ICOEEP Phase 1. Iraq Operations and Maintenance. Iraq Sealine. Tanzania

    This is an outstanding achievement, particularly as in our

    sphere o operations where the levels o HSE risks arehigh and the working environmental conditions are equallysevere. All our onshore and oshore project operationshave eectively managed these HSE risks and provided asae working environment over this period, Boyd Merrett,CEO o Leighton Oshore said.

    Leighton Oshore recently participated in ADIPEC

    2012 at Abu Dhabi, UAE. Under the patronage o thePresident o the United Arab Emirates, H. H. SheikhKhalia Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the 15th edition o the AbuDhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conerence(ADIPEC) took place on 11 - 14 November 2012 at theAbu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC).

    LEIGHTON OFFSHORESHEDS THE KILOS FORCHARITY

    The Weightloss or Charity project by LeightonOshore encouraged its employees to lose weightor a t, better-shaped body and a healthier

    liestyle with a meaningul approach.In an eort to promote healthier liestyles andregular exercise routines among its sta, LeightonOshore Sdn Bhd pledged to donate RM100 to ahealth-related organisation or every kilogrammethat the participating employees lost.

    The employees managed to lose 70kg in total andthe company contributed RM7,000 to the NationalKidney Foundation o Malaysia (NKF) to help easethe nancial burden o underprivileged kidney-ailure patients who need dialysis treatments. Acheque presentation ceremony was held at the

    NKF headquarters in Petaling Jaya.

    NKF chie executive ocer Chua Hong Wee said,We are grateul to the team at Leighton Oshoreor this donation. The project not only generatedunds to help the dialysis patients, but alsopromoted regular exercise routines to maintain at body and healthier liestyle.

    It is never too late or us to start taking good careo our body and health!

    In the spirit o caring, sharing and

    giving during the holy month oRamadhan, Leighton Oshoreand Leighton Engineering recentlybrought some estive cheer to 46underprivileged children at RumahKebajikan Baitul Hidayah. Locatedin Puchong, Selangor, the home wasounded in 2009 and houses childrenrom 6 months to 16 years old.

    The management team and stao Leighton Oshore and LeightonEngineering were given a warm

    kompang welcome by the children.Held as part o the organisationsCorporate Social Responsibility (CSR)initiatives, the highlight o the eventsaw all the unprivileged children

    receiving school bags each packed with stationeries. Leighton Oshore andLeighton Engineering donated about RM15,000 cash besides ood items,toiletries and Raya clothes. Part o the money was raised by the employees.Heads o Departments and 40 volunteers rom various departments werealso present.

    Representing Leighton Oshore, Peter Collings, Head o HR, said, As aparent mysel, I understand the plight o these underprivileged children.

    Big corporations have a role to play in driving initiatives like this and we atLeighton Oshore and Leighton Engineering are happy to be able to lend ahelping hand to those who need it. We hope that this aid will at least helpto ease their burden rom the rising cost o living. We want to do our part incontributing towards the welare o these deserving children.

    It is an honour to receive contributions and donations rom LeightonOshore. It has been a challenging task to run Baitul Hidayah especiallywith the lack o unding and rise o living costs. We want to thank LeightonOshore and Leighton Engineering or sharing the estive cheer with ourchildren, said Pn. Azuana, who runs the home with her husband, En.Gzahari.

The laughterand joy shown on the aces o the children indeed gave a big encouragementor the organization to keep eorts such as this, going every year.
