Parliament
• The national legislature of the United Kingdom, made up of the House of Lords and the House of Commons.
• Parliament is the British version of Congress.
Prime Minister
• The head of an elected government; the principal minister of an a country.
• Many countries today have Prime Ministers, it is a similar position to the U.S. President.
Duty / Duties
• A tax charged by a government, especially on foreign made goods.
Propaganda
• Information usually of a biased, or misleading nature, used to promote or publicize a particular political cause or point of view.
Redcoats
• A term for British soldiers. • The term is a reference to the bright red coats
which the soldiers wore while in uniform.
