Mr. Walt Disney and his brother arrived in California in 1923 to sell the cartoon Alice in Wonderland. Its first film was created in 1954—Treasure Island and in 1955 Disneyland Park opened. Now, more than 50 years later, the Walt Disney Company has grown and expanded into one of the world’s largest media and entertainment corporations in the world. They are structured as strategic business units consisting of Disney consumer products, studio entertainment, parks and resorts, and media network broadcasting. The Walt Disney Company headquarters are located in Burbank, CA.
