The evolution of the Export Council of Australia

• Established in 1957 the Australian Institute of Export’s (AIEx) primary aim was to contribute to building Australia’s resources through working with government and the private sector in developing the international trade performance of Australian business.

• After fifty five years the Institute will reposition its events and advocacy activities under the name Export Council of Australia while retaining the Australian Institute of Export for the delivery of education and training in international trade.

• With a new contemporary look the Council will have a stronger focus on tackling the wide range of issues affecting the export sector of the Australian economy.

• Under the banner of the Australian Institute of Export, the council will continue to provide first class skills development programs for exporters and importers.
