    Some people are really good at convincing people by any means even if they have to flatter them. And that is

    how the world works in a way, doesnt it? Well, most of it. Cajole is a verb and its first usage dates back to

    1635-45.

    Deride

    Oh! How you must hate the feeling of being laughed at even when in hearts of hearts you know that its youwho will have the last laugh! It is never a pleasant feeling to be derided or to be hated. And it is never a

    pleasant act to deride someone (that is pretty mean actually). Deride is this mean act of hurting others.

    Origin: Its first usage dates back to 1520-30 and has originated from a Latin word deridere, which means to

    mock. Its a verb.

    Recoil is to move backward because of fear. Many a times we face some situations that lead to our

    backward action, because we are not strong enough to face it. It is possible that a person who creates such a

    situation is in superior position to us, and has the power to influence us in one way or the other. Mostly this

    kind of situations are spontaneous, and occur during conflicts, in which the weaker person weather mentally

    or physically is forced to move back, because the stronger one overwhelms the other. It is also related to

    disapproval of idea, because of strong disgust.

    Vapid is a state where a person goes through humdrum and lacks in intelligence.     ones are not able to lead a happy life and feel lethargic and enervate throughout the day, whereas the latter one
