Greetings to the Populace of Aneala,

Since our last missive, we have learned new information about the postcodes that previously belonged to Abertridwr. We reported last month that the postcodes had returned to Kingdom upon the closure of Abertridwr; since then those postcodes have been assigned to Aneala. We would like to extend a warm welcome to all those who now find themselves members of our Barony.

There have been no events in Aneala since last we wrote. We encourage everyone to consider running an event. There are many events upcoming that are tentatively on the schedule but require a steward. Contact Aneala’s seneschal Lord Richard for more information. Or, if you have an idea for an event but don’t know where to start, either Lord Richard or we will be happy to point you in the right direction to get started, including organising a mentor.

This month, we are looking forward to the Valentine’s Feast that Dragon’s Bay

are hosting on the 16th February. There promises to be entertainment, music, dancing, and much foolery, as we will be running a fooling competition. Be sure to book for this feast and help support our local Canton.

The College of Saint Basil the Great have their O-Day on Friday 22nd February. They have put a call out to Aneala to ask for help. If you’re available on that day, consider coming to UWA to help the College recruit new members. We will be there, giving back to the group that helped us get started in the SCA, and hope to see many members of the populace there to encourage growth in our local College.

Looking forward in the calendar, March promises to be a busy month for

Aneala, starting with a demo at the Hyde Park Fair on Sunday 3rd & Monday

4th March. This is a great opportunity to show off what we do and spend a lovely day in the park.

For those who don’t know, please be aware that the archery practice schedule has changed to 9am-11am for the summer season. Contact Mistress Branwen, Captain of Archers, for more information.

Yours in Service,Baron Agostino and Baroness Elizabeth

Greetings All...

This is your friendly neighbourhood Chronicler just updating everyone on recent issues of The Vine and the lacklustre edition being offered at the moment. I have recent had a few problems with the biggest one being my old Content Creator (or Laptop) died and I was having trouble being able to access all the files I needed to be able to create The Vine. I have since been able to trade some gold coins for a new Content Creator and been able to transfer the information required from the old Content Creator to the new one. So we are back working on The Vine together.

As such, this will be a basic issue of The Vine with a promise that The Vine which comes in March (only about a week or so) will be a lot better. So with that comes a reminder, I am back with the ability to write and do more, but as always I need your help. If you wantto see more content than is presented in this basic issue, I need your help and input. If you attended an event and it was a great event write me an article about it. Or even write me an article about your favourite SCA event you have ever attended. Or your first SCA event...

If you have a passion or interest, let me know what it is? We can see about getting some content in here relating to that. I have long mentioned an article introducing Heraldy for example, so that will be coming in the March issue.

Once again, apologies for my troubles in publishing The Vine but hopefully that is all in the past.

Yours in Service,Wolfgang Germanicus
