Armed with just his guitar and voice, his show will be an intimate and personal showcase of his music. Frank is touring Canada as a solo artist however, so this is a rare chance to hear his songs performed intimately and raw.

Katou · July 20, 8:30–10:30pm · Gorgeous Coffee, 103-300 Gorge Road West, Victoria

Barcelona-based Canadian singer-songwriter Katou presents Spirit Rubble, a new repertory of original songs about the spirit yearning for freedom, communion, and finding its own little place in the grand scheme of things.

For the last 15 years, songwriting has accompanied Katou as a kind of diary. Inspired by wandering balladeers, she began living her dream of singing on the street 10 years ago, first playing her own music, then collaborating in different projects. From 2012–2017, she sang in the group Radio Fanjul, performing old, popular songs from around the world and recording three albums. After a few years’ break from songwriting, Katou returns to give voice to Spirit Rubble.
