He is the great Spirit of love who created you and me,this beautiful world, and the entire universe.

Then, to show us His love and to help us understand Him,

He sent us His Son, Jesus Christ, in the form of a man.

T h e B i b l e t e l l s u s ,“ G o d i s S p i r i t ”

( J o h n 4 : 2 4 )

a n d “ G o d i s l o v e ”( 1 J o h n 4 : 8 ) .



Although Hewas predestinedto be the King of Kings, Jesuswas not born ina palace.

Instead, He was

born on the dirtyfloor of a barnand laid to sleepin the animal’sfeed trough (Luke

2:7).



His arrival received noofficial recognition fromthe rich and powerful of His day.

Instead, He was visitedby a few poor shepherdswho had heard the news

from a band of angels,

“There is born to you this day inthe city of David a Savior,

who is Christ the Lord.Glory to God in the highest,

and on earth peace,good will towards men!”

(Luke 2:8-14).



When Jesus began His life’swork at the age of 30, He notonly preached His message,but He lived it among thecommon people, as one of them. He ministered to their spiritual needs, healing themwhen they were sick and

feeding them when they werehungry.



He loved without partiality,even at the cost of Hisreputation (Philippians 2:7).

He befriended drunks, prostitutes, and sinners, theoutcasts and downtrodden, and proved that no onewas beyond the reach of God’s love andforgiveness.



Salvation was so simple, He said,that all it took was the faith of alittle child (Matthew 18:3).

And right living came down to just two things: loving God,and loving our neighbors as ourselves (Matthew 22:37-39).



In Jesus, God shared His love with the whole world.

But He also loves each of us individually.

God loves you so much that He gave the most cherishedthing He had,His only Son, so you could have everlasting life.
